Garnerwood is based in Bundoora
in the northeastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. We
specialise in salvaging urban forest tree logs
in order to produce environmentally friendly and sustainable timbers.
Our wood is recovered from urban trees
(street, garden & park trees) that have been destined for removal
usually for safety reasons, or due to old age or ill health.
Where the wood waste would otherwise
be destined for urban landfill, it is diverted from the waste stream
and converted into a useful resource by our business, thereby reducing
waste into our municipal tips. Also,
by salvaging useable timber out of our urban forests, it helps to
alleviate some of the pressure placed on our native forest resources.
